On Wednesday, Old School Runescape developers, Jagex, announced that the iconic MMORPG will release to mobile gamers October 30th. The mobile offering, which has been in a “Members Only” beta on Android since June, will be available to all players on both iOS and Android devices beginning October 30. Jagex confirmed in a press release that Old School RuneScape is available for pre-order from the App Store and Google Play.

A prototype for Old School RuneScape on mobile was first showcased at RuneFest 2017, after which, the development team at Jagex has worked in partnership with the game’s community to ensure the mobile iteration offers the same immersive “living game” experience as the original. The game was first released in a “Members Only” beta this June, followed shortly after by a soft launch in Canada and Nordic countries where it saw over 500,000 players download and access the game on their Android devices.

Both RuneScape and Old-School RuneScape will be coming to mobile, with Old-School RuneScape launching this winter and RuneScape coming after that. They'll be fully cross-play compatible between PC and mobile--meaning that you'll be able to close the game on your PC and pick it up seamlessly on your phone, the developer stated in a press release. You can see some screenshots from the mobile versions below; the first four images are from Old-School RuneScape, while the last is from RuneScape.

'The RuneScape titles will become the first mainstream and established Western MMORPGs on mobile in full and the first to deliver cross-platform play between PC and mobile platforms,' the developer claimed.
